Nama Hatta and Gauranga`s Mercy(Prasadam distribution)

This week Friday all the devotees met
for Nama Hatta and we discussed
the verse "Anyabilasita Sunyam"
and how to have one pointed devotion
to the Divine couple Sri Radha and Krsna.
It was an interactive session also
questions we can only repeat what
our Beloved Srila Gurudeva has told
us and try to preach by only Srila
Gurudeva`s Mercy.

The following day Saturday Roy,
Kishorekumar prabhu and my family
got together and cooked Prasadam(sanctified
foodstuffs offered to Sri Radha and Krsna?
and went on Harinam and distribution
of the Prasadam.We first went to a village
in the Northdale area and distributed to the
locals Prasadam and performed Harinam
which they all enjoyed.

We then went to an informal settlement
also in the Northdale area and performed
Harinam Sankirtana and and distributed
the balance of the Prasadam.All the devotees
felt great joy distributing and performing
Harinam(Pictures will follow shortly).
One devotee remarked to me at the informal
settlement that he never felt such great joy
and bliss whilst we were performing Harinam
Sankirtana and this Prabhu just recently
joined our Sanga and is new to Krsna Consciousness.
He now wants to go on Harinam Sankirtana every
week.All Glories to Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu`s
wonderful Harinam Sankirtana and to our most Merciful
Srila Gurudeva and Srila Prabhupada.

Yesterday by the Mercy of Srila Gurudeva and Gauranga
all the devotees gathered for the Nama Hatta programme.
I normally send out bulk sms to all the devotees and my
contacts that i`m preaching to,to inform them of the Nama
Hatta or any other happenings so yesterday i sent out the
bulk sms to all to inform we will be gathering in the evening
and also to bring one new person to Nama Hatta.I during
the week was also preaching to new people.I have my own
business so this week i employed a new person and he
has come with his own material problems so i started
preaching to him about the temporary nature of this
world and how people we think "LOVES US"but
will let us down his story is rather sad though and
he has 3 children to take care of.

He became very enthused as he is a very pious
person and wants to come with his children
to Nama Hatta.Keshoorkumar Prabhu brought one
new person this week to Nama Hatta and
he will continue taking care of her spiritual
growth.We started with Gaura Arati
and then a few Bhajans to Sri Guru
and Vaishnava`s and i spoke a little
about Vaishnava ettiquette and about
being one pointed to Guru and the
Divine couple Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.
Thereafter i showed a DVD about Srila
Gurudeva`s preaching in Hong Kong
last year.Followed by Prasadam.

Phoenix Nama Hatta in Durban South Africa Re Launched last night

Last night we relaunched the Phoenix Nama Hatta
after a break for about 3 months.Yesterday was
my sister-in laws(wifes sister)birthday her name
is Sunitha didi,she lives in Phoenix Durban
and works as a travel agent in Durban town.

She is married and has 2 children husbands
name is terrance a proffesional body builder
and Nikita 8 years and Nimai 2 years.Sunitha
and her family play a very instrumental
role in Phoenix in Srila Gurudeva`s Sanga.
They alwyays helping organising programmes
when senior devotees come.Also for our
Recent Shoba Ratha Yatra in Pietermaritzburg
they assisted in making it a grand success that
it was.We started the programme around 7pm
and i spoke on Lord Nrsingha Deva`s appearance
since it was last Friday and there was no programme
in Phoenix i just repeated what i heard from
our Beloved Srila Gurudeva and Srila Prabhupada
as i have no realisation.The devotees in the Durban
area are a smaller group compared to Pietermaritzburg.
They want to keep the regular Tuesday Nama Hatta
meetings going every week and want to start inviting
NEW people every week for the programmes.

Please pray that we can continue serving Srila Gurudeva.
There is another town called Stanger about 30 minutes
drive from Phoenix towards the north there are Srila
Gurudeva`s disciples Murai Mohan and his family
and others Murari Mohan Prabhu has recently
added an extension to his house and this extension
he has made into a temple and has named this
new Ashram Hare Krsna Ashram and is having
a grand opening on the 7th June 2009 and also
a First Shoba Ratha Yatra in this coastal town.
I`ll keep you all posted on the different preaching activities.

Sripad Vana Maharaja sets South Africa alight with Divine Hari Katha

Sripad Vana Maharaja arrived
in South Africa on the 23rd April
2009.Maharaja flew to Durban
on the 24th and i welcomed
him at the Durban international
airport.I then drove Maharaja
to Verulam which is about 20 minutes
drive north of Durban to Subhadra
didi`s and kids Balarama and Krsna
das and Krsna Priya devis dasi.

Because Maharaja arrived early
in the morning we had about 5
or 6 hours.Radhakanta Prabhu
Srila Gurudeva`s disciple drove Maharaja
to the Umdloti beach front.We took
photo`s with Maharaja which i will
load shortly and then we drove back
to the house for the programme.

Maharaja gave his divine Hari Katha
and after we perfomed Gaura Arati
Purandara Prabhu led us in some beautiful
Gaudiya style kirtans and then it was
prasadam and we left for Pietermaritzburg
for the Shoba Ratha Yatra which took
place the next day.Stay tuned for the
next instalment on the Shoba Ratha Yatra
which was filled with colur and excitement
and not forgetting the Gaudiya Kirtans
from Maharaja and Purandara Prabhu.

Dear All my name is Acyuta Dasa
I live in South Africa in a city
called Pietermaritzburg in the
province of Kwa-Zulu Natal
which is about 85 km from Durban
Pietermaritzburg is the capital
of Kwa-Zulu Natal.Durban
is home to all different bodily
people like Indians which
are the most number in South
Africa,then Whites and coloured
and African people and the ethnic
background of the African people
are Zulu`s our newly elected State
President hails from this province.

I`m married with no children
and my mother and sister live with
me.My family and i were associated
with Krsna Consciousness for 24 years
and by the Mercy of Sri Krsna he
arranged we find his pure representaive
as Krsna says in Sri Bhagavad Gita
chapter 4 entitled Transcendental Knowledge
text 34
"Tad viddhi prantipatena
pariprasnena sevaya
upadeksyanti te jnanam
jnaninas tattva-darsinah"

English translation:
Just try to learn the truth
by approaching a spiritual
master.Inquire from him
submissively and render
service unto him.The self-
realized soul can impart
knowledge unto you
because he has seen the
truth".

our Beloved Diksha Gurudeva
gave my wife and i initiation
personally at Govardhana
Hill India in 2007.

Since then we have been
assisting our beloved
Srila Gurudeva organising
preaching especially the
Nama Hatta preaching
(Market place of the Holy
name Hare Krsna Hare Krsna
Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare
Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama
Hare Hare)and we are preaching
to a BRAND NEW FIELD
of people who have not been
associated with Krsna Consciousness
before and those who have heard
but never enquired.

So much has happened from
2007 to now and our congregation
has grown the purpose of this
blog is to share with devotees
and those who want to enquire
about Krsna Consciousness.

And to share with everyone
our daily and weekly preaching
successes and difficulties
also to present siddhanta
from our beloved Srila
Gurudeva and our parampara
